Cultural Heritage School course (Scuola del Patrimonio)

The admission process to enroll in the course consists of a combination of personal academic qualifications, a written test, and an interview according to the methods and criteria indicated in call for admission.
Potential candidates who present their application within the specified deadline must meet the following criteria:
– to be under the age of 36 and
– to possess a higher-level academic qualification (specialization school or Ph.D program with a minimum duration of two years) issued by Italian or foreign universities, in subjects relating to heritage and cultural activities.

The course is totally free: it has neither registration fees nor attendance costs. Scholarships are also available.

The course lasts two years. It consists of classroom activities, seminars and field study visits followed by an internship period to be held within public and private entities operating in the cultural heritage sector, in Italy or abroad.

The submission of the application takes place exclusively electronically in accordance with the terms and procedures outlined in the announcement of the call for admission.

Students are required to attend all training activities provided for in the program and launched within the course. Absences up to and not exceeding 10% of the total hours of each module are allowed. Students are required to communicate any external work and/or research activities to the director, and they must be considered compatible with the course and study commitments.

In-person classroom lessons are held at the Foundation’s headquarters, in the National Central Library of Rome. Study visits are organized across the country.

This process is governed by specific Regulations for the selection of lecturers, tutors, collaborators, and coordinators of educational, scientific and research activities for the Cultural Heritage School course (Regolamento di selezione dei docenti, dei tutor, dei collaboratori e coordinatori di attività formative, scientifiche e di ricerca per il corso Scuola del Patrimonio).

The International School program is dedicated exclusively to foreign professionals. Our counterparts within each partner country institution will directly send the Foundation a list of potential candidates.
